Luke Schager Delivers Electric Effort Vs Gridley

Starting off the list is Orland's Luke Schager, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Schager rushed for 224 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per carry. Those 224 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Corning found a leader in Kaleb Flournoy as the team took down Oroville on Friday. Flournoy turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 95 yards and three touchdowns. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 65 yards.

Corning's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Cardinals challenges Live Oak at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Corning was led to victory by Colt Dagorret, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Dagorret rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 60 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

On the season, Dagorret has run in 4 touchdowns while averaging 32 rushing yards per game.

Rounding off our Top Five is Colton Rosauer of Las Plumas. Rosauer forced a fumble and made three total tackles. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making three total tackles.

Las Plumas pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Rosauer and Las Plumas will square off against Orland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
