Baseball Recap: Calipatria Takes a Loss

Calipatria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets. The match marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Juan Perez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last 11 games he's played dating back to last season.

Calipatria's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Palo Verde Valley, their record is now 12-8-1.
