Softball Preview: Jupiter Warriors vs. Vero Beach Indians
The Jupiter Warriors will be playing at home against the Vero Beach Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Jupiter took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Dwyer and snuck past 8-7.
Meanwhile, Vero Beach never let their opponents score on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over Heritage. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Vero Beach considering their two-run performance the game before.
Dayna Patten made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. Patten was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.
