Centennial faced Eagle in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Patriots took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The Patriots' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Centennial saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabe Herr, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Centennial's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 15-3. As for Eagle, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.

Coincidentally, Centennial and Eagle will both be playing Kuna the next time they take the field. The Patriots will host the Kavemen at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Mustangs will head out to face them at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
