Basketball Recap: Davidson Day's Loss Ends 14-Game Winning Streak at Home

On Friday, Davidson Day faced Ambassador Christian School in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Davidson Day Patriots took a 64-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ambassador Christian School Lions. It was the first time this season that the Patriots let down their fans at home.

Ambassador Christian School's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Logan Johnson, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 18 points. Johnson is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Dylan Deluca, who went 5 for 9 en route to 14 points along with six rebounds and four blocks.

Davidson Day's loss ended a 14-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-12. As for Ambassador Christian School, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
