Volleyball Game Preview: Sage Hill Lightning vs. Laguna Beach Breakers

The Sage Hill Lightning will challenge the Laguna Beach Breakers at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Sage Hill will be strutting in after a win while Laguna Beach will be coming in after a defeat.

Sage Hill barely beat Northwood the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lightning put the hurt on the Timberwolves with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday.

Sage Hill was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-15, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Laguna Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rosary Academy.

The final score came out to 25-15, 23-25, 25-19, 25-17.

Sage Hill is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 19 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. As for Laguna Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-20.

Everything went Sage Hill's way against Laguna Beach in their previous meeting back in September, as Sage Hill made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Lightning repeat their success, or do the Breakers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
