Basketball Recap: North Fork Miners vs. Fountain Valley Danes
North Fork's game on Saturday was all tied up 32-32 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 66-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fountain Valley Danes. The Miners have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Fountain Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaden Lopez-Hardy led the charge by dropping a double-double with 20 points and 12 boards. Lopez-Hardy has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more points the last ten times he's played. Another player making a difference was Nick Prantl, who went 6-for-9 on his way to 14 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
North Fork's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Fountain Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
As of now, neither North Fork nor Fountain Valley have any future games scheduled.
