Baseball Recap: Harding Has No Trouble Against North Community

The Harding Knights made easy work of the North Community Polars on Friday and carried off a 16-6 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Aiden Brown was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out 15 batters over five innings while giving up six earned runs off four hits. Those 15 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alex Oxley, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. Mikey Xiong was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Harding now has a winning record of 2-1.

Harding wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 30-10 defeat against Washington Tech on the 21st. As for North Community, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Roosevelt at 4:30 p.m. on the 29th.
