 Mid Valley is 9-1 against Riverside since April of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Wednesday. The Mid Valley Spartans will head out on the road to  take on  the Riverside Vikings at 4:30  p.m. Mid Valley will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak.
 Mid Valley will head into Monday's  matchup hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big  on Saturday (they won by 13) but  on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Holy Cross  5-3.
  Ava Hazelton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on four hits and racked up 11 Ks.
 On the hitting side, Mid Valley got a big performance out of  Krista Cortazar, who  went 1-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Chiara Zavislak, who  went 2-for-3 with a  triple, a  run,  and  an  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Riverside fell victim to Dunmore and their airtight pitching crew  on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Bucks by a score of  1-0.
 Mid Valley's victory was  their sixth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 16-1. As for Riverside, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
 Mid Valley was able to grind out a solid  win over Riverside in their previous matchup  back in April, winning  8-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mid Valley since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
