Football Game Preview: Forest Wildcats vs. Wesley Chapel Wildcats + How To Watch

Forest will head out on the road to take on Wesley Chapel at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Forest was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 30-25 to South Lake. The Wildcats have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Forest had strong showings from Caleb Sanford, who threw for 170 yards and one TD, and Keziyrehun Rivers, who rushed for 51 yards and a pair of scores.

Even if they lost, Forest's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Damir Jamerson was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.

Meanwhile, Wesley Chapel played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 50-7 loss at the hands of Gaither. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 319th, while the Cowboys are ranked 17th).

Special teams was responsible for all of the team's points. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Darian Borden, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Wesley Chapel now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Forest has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 196.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Wesley Chapel struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 156.8 rushing yards.
