Soccer Recap: Las Plumas vs. Yuba City
Las Plumas lost to Yuba City back in December of 2017, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Las Plumas Thunderbirds who were credited with the win. The Las Plumas Thunderbirds got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Yuba City Honkers' two. Gabriella Robertson had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Thunderbirds.
The victory made it two in a row for Las Plumas and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Yuba City, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Las Plumas will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Red Bluff at 4:00 p.m. on December 19th. As for Yuba City, they are taking a road trip to challenge Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
