Basketball Recap: Warwick Takes a Loss

Warwick suffered their biggest defeat since January 13th on Thursday. They came up short against the Hampton Crabbers, falling 56-36. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 237th, while the Crabbers are ranked 43rd).

This is the second loss in a row for Warwick and nudges their season record down to 6-13. As for Hampton, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Warwick will face off against Woodside at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Woodside has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Hampton, they will take on Menchville at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hampton is facing Menchville at the right time seeing as Menchville is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
