Basketball Game Preview: Williamston Hornets vs. Schoolcraft Eagles

The Williamston Hornets will square off against the Schoolcraft Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Saturday, Williamston came up short against Cadillac and fell 58-49. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 376th, while the Vikings are ranked 93rd).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Schoolcraft). They blew past Lawton 80-45 on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles who have now won four contests in a row.

Williamston has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.9 points per game. As for Schoolcraft, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
