Batesburg-Leesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 61-49 to the Ninety Six Wildcats. One positive for the Panthers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Janiyah Squire, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 21 rebounds for Ninety Six. Squire's evening made it nine games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Kenley Collins was another key player, putting up ten points along with six boards and five assists.

Batesburg-Leesville's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Ninety Six, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Batesburg-Leesville will take on Pelion at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ninety Six, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Ninety Six Wildcats challenge the Saluda Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
