            The Douglas Trojans will venture away from home to  challenge the Brookings-Harbor Bruins  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Douglas is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 26.1  points per game  this season.
Douglas will bounce into Friday's   matchup after  beating South Umpqua, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Trojans took their  contest  on Friday with ease, bagging  a  27-0 victory over the Lancers. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Trojans.

It was another big night for  Ryder Sawyer, who threw for 250 yards and three  TDs while completing 81.2% of his passes, and also punched in one  touchdown on the ground. His passing game has become a key predictor of Douglas' success: the team is 3-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise. The Trojans' leading receiver  Reese Willis was  Sawyer's top target yet again, picking up 80 receiving yards and a pair of  scores.
 Douglas didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Jaden Burkhart,  Niel Kelly,  and  Devon Taylor picked up one apiece.
 Meanwhile, Brookings-Harbor was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They had to suffer through  a    48-10 loss at the hands of Siuslaw. The  game marked the Bruins' lowest-scoring  matchup so far this season.
 Brookings-Harbor's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Douglas,  the  win  got them back to even at 4-4.
 Douglas strolled past Brookings-Harbor when the teams last played  back in November of 2024 by a score of  36-18. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
