Volleyball Recap: St. Lucy's Comes Up Short

St. Lucy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Upland Highlanders/Scots, falling 3-0. The Regents were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Highlanders/Scots earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

While St. Lucy's was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Upland's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 27-25.

St. Lucy's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Upland, with the victory, they broke their seven-match losing streak and moved their record to 7-13.

Looking ahead, St. Lucy's will be taking part in a tournament against University at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Upland, they will challenge Los Osos at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
