Soccer Recap: Carthage Takes a Loss

Carthage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Pine Tree Pirates, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 656th, while the Pirates are ranked 149th).

Carthage's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Pine Tree, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-4-2.

Carthage does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pine Tree will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Palestine at 7:45 p.m. on March 21st.
