Baseball Recap: New Summerfield Comes Up Short

New Summerfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 32nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Alto Yellowjackets, falling 22-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, with their most recent loss being a 22-2 defeat back in March.

New Summerfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Alto, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. New Summerfield is set to take on their familiar foe Mt. Enterprise at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Alto will face off against rival Cushing at 6:30 p.m. on the 22nd.
