Newman International Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Johnson County Sports Association on Friday. The Warriors blew past the Lions 52-28. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 24 points or more this season.

Newman International Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but JB Brown led the charge by putting up 11 points and three steals. Brown has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Patrick Brown, who shot 42% from the field on his way to 11 points.

Newman International Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Johnson County Sports Association's loss came despite strong showings from Jason Calaway and Tucker Grayson. Calaway posted eight points in addition to six assists and six boards, while Grayson earned 16 points and six rebounds.

The victory got Newman International Academy back to even at 3-3. As for Johnson County Sports Association, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.
