For the second straight game, Westview will face off against Oceanside. The Wolverines will welcome the Pirates at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westview is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

Westview blew Oceanside out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Oceanside got their revenge. The Wolverines fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 5-3. The Wolverines' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Westview got a good showing from Miles Russell, who tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, Russell didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March.

At the plate, Westview saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mahir Desai, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

The win snapped Oceanside's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-16 record. As for Westview, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-7.
