Volleyball Recap: Sequoyah School Starts Season with Loss at Home

Sequoyah School unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Highland Hall Hawks by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.

Sequoyah School actually scored more points across those five sets (100-91), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 17-25, 8-25, 26-24, 15-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sequoyah School will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Southwestern Academy at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Highland Hall, they will venture away from home to take on Westmark at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
