Basketball Game Preview: Providence Christian Academy Storm vs. Banks County Leopards

Providence Christian Academy is 0-4 against Banks County since January of 2024 but things could change on Friday. The Providence Christian Academy Storm are taking a road trip to face off against the Banks County Leopards at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Providence Christian Academy sitting on six straight wins and Banks County on 15.

Providence Christian Academy will head into Tuesday's matchup hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 24) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged Rabun County out 59-56.

Providence Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zoie Cameron, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. That's the most points Cameron has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ella Truong, who went 5 for 11 on her way to 19 points.

Providence Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 15 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Banks County strolled past Athens Academy with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 52-33.

Providence Christian Academy has also been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.4 points per game. As for Banks County, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-5.

Providence Christian Academy came up short against Banks County in their previous meeting back in January, falling 61-48. Can Providence Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
