Baseball Recap: Alliance Christian Comes Up Short

Alliance Christian fell victim to High Point Baptist Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 15-0. The Gryphons just can't catch a break and have now endured 16 losses in a row dating back to last season.

Alliance Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for High Point Baptist Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Alliance Christian will be playing at home against La Academia Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Leones have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 22.6 runs per game on average), something the Gryphons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for High Point Baptist Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Conestoga Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
