Football Recap: Taconic Comes Up Short

Taconic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 37-6 loss at the hands of the Hoosac Valley Hurricanes. If the Thunder were looking for revenge after losing 46-6 to the Hurricanes when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Taconic's record now sits at 1-5. As for Hoosac Valley, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Taconic will face off against rival Holyoke at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hoosac Valley is set to take on their familiar foe Easthampton/Hampshire at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Hurricanes 12, the Eagles 11.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
