Volleyball Game Preview: Liberty Magnet Patriots vs. Central Wildcats

The Liberty Magnet Patriots will square off against the Central Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Liberty Magnet will be strutting in after a win while Central will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with seven losses in a row, Liberty Magnet turned things around against Scotlandville on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 3-0 victory. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Patriots yet this season.

Meanwhile, Central didn't have quite enough to beat Live Oak on Thursday and fell 3-2.

Central actually scored more points across those five sets (110-98), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 16-25, 15-25, 25-23, 17-15.

Liberty Magnet's win bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
