Soccer Game Preview: McNairy Central vs. Madison

The McNairy Central Bobcats will head out on the road to challenge the Madison Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

McNairy Central is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Jackson North Side on Tuesday. The Bobcats fell 2-0 to the Indians. While losing is never fun, McNairy Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while Jackson North Side are ranked 59th).

Meanwhile, Madison lost 4-1 to University School of Jackson on Tuesday.

The Mustangs' goal came courtesy of Malachi Roberts, who's now up to two this season.

Madison's loss dropped their record down to 5-5-5. As for McNairy Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8-1 record this season.
