Basketball Recap: Quapaw Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Quapaw and Pawhuska squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Quapaw had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Pawhuska Huskies and fell 76-33. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured 14 losses in a row.

Dax Godsey was nothing short of spectacular for Pawhuska: he on his way to 20 points and three steals. Godsey has become a key player for Pawhuska: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least 15 points, but 7-12 otherwise. Will Sweeden was another key player, putting up 13 points and five boards.

Quapaw's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Pawhuska, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-14 record this season.

Quapaw does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pawhuska, they have already played their next game, a 45-36 loss against Nowata on the 24th.
