Spanish Fork has gone a perfect 10-0 against Payson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Dons are taking a road trip to challenge the Lions at 6:30 p.m. The last three games Spanish Fork has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Spanish Fork is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Maple Mountain, who was ranked 12th at the time (Spanish Fork was ranked 17th). The Dons fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.

Spanish Fork took Maple Mountain into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-23, 22-25, 21-25, 15-9.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Payson's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Crimson Cliffs.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Crimson Cliffs scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-17, 19-25, 25-22.

Spanish Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Payson, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

Everything went Spanish Fork's way against Payson in their previous meeting on September 4th, as Spanish Fork made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dons since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
