Basketball Recap: Connersville Sets Scoring Season-High Against South Dearborn

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Connersville). They came out on top against the South Dearborn Knights by a score of 47-39 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Connersville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zander McHenry, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 17 points. What's more, McHenry also racked up four boards, the most he's had since back in November of 2023. Jadan Peterson was another key player, putting up ten points and seven rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Connersville and bumps their season record up to 4-2. As for South Dearborn, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.

Connersville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 44-35 defeat against Richmond on the 21st. As for South Dearborn, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fishers on January 2, 2025.
