Basketball Game Preview: Phillips Bears vs. Brilliant Tigers

Phillips is 1-9 against Brilliant since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The two teams will face off at 6:00 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Phillips will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Vina, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Phillips snuck past Vina with a 52-46 victory on Monday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Brilliant, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They managed a 60-56 win over Tremont on Monday.

Phillips' victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Brilliant, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Phillips was taken down by Brilliant 75-37 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Brilliant's Hadlee Sanderson, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 boards.
