Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ty Gibbs and Ford Deshazo Lead Grace Christian Academy to Victory

Grace Christian Academy posted their biggest win since January 14th on Friday. They put the hurt on the Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars with a sharp 69-45 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 77-53 back in January.

Grace Christian Academy was led to victory by Ford Deshazo and Ty Gibbs. Deshazo almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards, while Gibbs dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. The match was Deshazo's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Sam Lohrding was another key player, putting up eight points.

Grace Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Grace Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Middle Tennessee Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 16 of their last 17 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-21 record this season.

Looking ahead, Grace Christian Academy will head out to square off against The Webb School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Grace Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully The Webb School likes a good challenge. Middle Tennessee Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
