Volleyball Recap: Ashland Takes a Loss

Ashland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spearville Lancers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

While Ashland ultimately came up short, they really made Spearville work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-12.

Ashland's loss dropped their record down to 6-19-1. As for Spearville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 24-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ashland is set to square off against their familiar foe South Central on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Spearville will face off against rival South Gray on Tuesday.
