Softball Game Preview: Fairmont Firebirds vs. Northmont Thunderbolts

For the second straight game, Fairmont will face off against Northmont. The Firebirds will be playing at home against the Thunderbolts at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Fairmont is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Fairmont fell victim to Northmont and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Thunderbolts by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Firebirds' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

The victory snapped Northmont's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-8 record. As for Fairmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
