Volleyball Recap: Olympia Makes It Five in a Row at Home + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Olympia, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Riverton Hawks on Tuesday. The Spartans were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Hawks, so the Spartans were just returning the favor.

While Olympia won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 26-24.

Grace Small paced Olympia's offense, picking up ten kills. Small got some help from Kinley Steinkamp and her 23 assists. Finally, Gabby Dickhut kept Olympia's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Olympia pushed their record up to 14-15 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Riverton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-9.

Coming up, Olympia will square off against PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Riverton, they will challenge Sacred Heart-Griffin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
