The Newman Fighting Cardinals will head out on the road to take on the Chequamegon Screaming Eagles at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Newman is no doubt hoping to put an end to a ten-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.

Ashley Jankowski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on 12 hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than six innings every time she's pitched this season.
