Volleyball Recap: Dexter Gets the Win

If Monroe wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Dexter, they should've done a better job of containing Annamarie Myint. The Dreadnaughts walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Trojans on Saturday thanks in part to Myint, who had 11 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Dexter was: they took both sets by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-10.

Dexter's win bumped their record up to 34-6-2. As for Monroe, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-20-1 record this season.

Dexter didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Pioneer on the 25th. As for Monroe, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Bedford on the 25th.
