Basketball Recap: Somerset Comes Up Short

Somerset lost against Baldwin-Woodville back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Somerset Spartans had to suffer through a 53-22 loss at the hands of the Baldwin-Woodville Blackhawks. The game marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Somerset has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Baldwin-Woodville, they pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road.

While Somerset had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
