Softball Recap: Hawthorne Has No Trouble Against Beverly Hills

Hawthorne won the last time they faced Beverly Hills and things went their way on Thursday too. Hawthorne blew past Beverly Hills 16-2. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won seven matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Hawthorne and bumps their season record up to 8-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Beverly Hills, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hawthorne will head out to challenge Santa Monica at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Hawthorne will need to watch out since Santa Monica has now posted at least ten runs in their last five games. As for Beverly Hills, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Centennial at 3:15 p.m. on April 8.
