2025-26 Preseason MaxPreps All-America Team: Brandon McCoy, Dylan Mingo and Jordan Smith headline high school basketball's best

Highlighting 25 of the nation's best heading into the 2025-26 campaign.

After spotlighting the top teams in high school basketball with the release of our National Top 10, MaxPreps Top 25 and expanded top 100 rankings, it's time to shift the focus to the best players in the country.

Past MaxPreps All-Americans include stars like Paolo Banchero (2020), Devin Booker (2014), Jaylen Brown (2015), Jalen Brunson (2014 and 2015), Anthony Davis (2011), Kevin Durant (2008), James Harden (2007), Jayson Tatum (2014, 2015 and 2016), Karl-Anthony Towns (2014) and Zion Williamson (2017 and 2018).

This year's Preseason MaxPreps All-America Team features 25 players headlined by 2024-25 MaxPreps Junior of the Year Jordan Smith, No. 3-ranked senior prospect Brandon McCoy and No. 4-ranked senior Dylan Mingo.

First Team

Jason Crowe Jr, Inglewood (Calif.)
6-3 | Senior | Guard | Missouri commit

Top 10 prospect averaged 35.3 points, 6.1 assists and 3.1 steals per outing to guide the Sentinels to a 26-7 record. Crowe Jr. enters his senior year with 3,331 career points, which puts him just 328 points shy of the state record.



Colben Landrew, Wheeler (Marietta, Ga.)
6-5 | Senior | Guard | Connecticut
Second team MaxPreps Junior All-America pick tallied 18.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game to lead the Wildcats to the Class AAAAAA state title and the No. 7 spot in the final MaxPreps Top 25.

Brandon McCoy, Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.)
6-5 | Senior | Guard | Uncommitted
Despite missing a dozen games due to injury, McCoy averaged 16.5 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.8 steals and 3.6 assists per outing for St. John Bosco last season. Headlines a new-look Sierra Canyon squad in 2025-26.

Dylan Mingo, Long Island Lutheran (Brookville, N.Y.)
6-5 | Senior | Guard | Uncommitted
Top-five prospect averaged 14.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.1 steals per contest to help the Crusaders finish the season ranked No. 4 in the National Top 10.

Jordan Smith, Paul VI (Chantilly, Va.)
6-3 | Senior | Guard | Uncommitted
Led the Panthers to the No. 10 spot in the final MaxPreps Top 25, averaging 18.9 points, 6.4 rebounds and 4.0 assists per contest last season.

Second Team

Latrell Allmond, Petersburg (Va.)
6-8 | Senior | Forward | Oklahoma State
After guiding John Marshall (Richmond, Va.) to three consecutive state championships, Allmond followed head coach Ty White to Petersburg for his senior year. He earned second team MaxPreps Junior All-America honors with averages of 21.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.3 blocked shots per game.



Arafan Diane, Iowa United (Des Moines, Iowa)

Imposing presence has quickly grown into one of the top prospects in the nation. Across seven games in the U17 World Cup, Diane averaged 19.1 points and 11.7 rebounds per contest for Guinea.

Caleb Holt, Prolific Prep (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.)
6-5 | Senior | Guard | Uncommitted
Second team MaxPreps Junior All-America selection averaged 18.2 points, 8.7 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 2.8 steals per contest to help Grayson (Loganville, Ga.) finish ranked No. 16 in the final MaxPreps Top 25.

Baba Oladotun, Blake (Silver Spring, Md.)
6-8 | Senior | Wing | Uncommitted
Averaged 22.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.8 steals per contest to earn first team MaxPreps Sophomore All-America honors. The top 10 prospect announced he would forgo his junior season to move into the Class of 2026 over the summer.

Cameron Williams, St. Mary's (Phoenix, Ariz.)
6-11 | Senior | Forward | Uncommitted
Guided the Knights to the Class 4A state title, averaging 20.2 points, 12.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists per contest during an impressive junior campaign.

Third Team

J.J. Andrews, Little Rock Christian Academy (Little Rock, Ark.)
6-5 | Senior | Wing | Arkansas
Third team MaxPreps Junior All-America selection averaged 28.5 points, 10.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.0 blocked shots per outing to help the Warriors reach the Class 5A state semifinals.



Toni Bryant, Zephyrhills Christian Academy (Zephyrhills, Fla.)
6-10 | Senior | Forward | Missouri
Helped North Tampa Christian Academy (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) reach the Class A state semifinals, tallying 21.0 points, 11.8 rebounds, 6.5 blocks and 2.1 assists per contest while posting a pair of triple-doubles.

Bryson Howard, Heritage (Frisco, Texas)
6-4 | Senior | Guard | Duke
After averaging 17.1 points, 10.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.0 steals per contest as a junior, the talented lefty had an impressive showing on the summer circuit to rise into the top 20 of the Class of 2026 rankings.

Jasiah Jervis, Archbishop Stepinac (White Plains, N.Y.)
6-4 | Senior | Guard | Michigan State
Top 40 prospect had an impressive summer on the club circuit after averaging 16.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game to lead the Crusaders to their third straight intersectional AA title.

Miles Sadler, CIA-Bella Vista (Scottsdale, Ariz.)
5-10 | Senior | Guard | Uncommitted
Top 30 prospect averaged 16.1 points, 4.7 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 2.5 steals per contest to help the Bears to the No. 6 spot in the final National Top 10.

MaxPreps Junior All-America selection averaged 23.0 points, 9.8 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 2.3 steals per contest to help Dream City Christian advance to the Grind Session tournament quarterfinals.

While playing at his father's alma mater, Westchester, Ariza put up 27 points, 14 rebounds and five assists per contest last season

Top-ranked Class of 2027 prospect had a strong summer on the club circuit after earned MaxPreps Sophomore All-America honors with averages of 11.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game to help Perry win its fourth straight state title.

Following the transfers of high-profile seniors Brandon McCoy and Oregon pledge Tajh Ariza in the fall, Collins will be the centerpiece for the Braves in 2025-26. The top 10 prospect averaged 13.3 points and 9.7 rebounds as a junior.

Caleb Gaskins, Columbus (Miami, Fla.)

Key piece to Columbus' fourth consecutive state championship and No. 1 spot in the MaxPreps Top 25 after posting 14.5 points and 6.2 rebounds per outing to earn second team MaxPreps Junior All-America honors.

Jalen Montonati, Owasso (Okla.)
6-7 | Senior | Wing | Oklahoma State
Two-time MaxPreps Oklahoma Player of the Year earned first team MaxPreps All-America honors after averaging 23.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per outing.

Adonis Ratliff, Archbishop Stepinac
7-0 | Senior | Center | USC
Versatile big man tallied 12.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.5 blocked shots per outing to help the Crusaders to their third straight Class AA City championship.

Jaxon Richardson, Southeastern Prep Academy National (Orlando, Fla.)

Son of former NBA dunk champion was a key contributor for top-ranked team in the MaxPreps Top 25, averaging 14.1 points and 4.9 rebounds per contest for defending national champion Columbus (Miami, Fla.).



Qayden Samuels, Bishop McNamara (Forestville, Md.)

Despite his team's struggles, Samuels put together an impressive junior campaign against a brutal national schedule with averages of 23.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per outing.

The top-ranked sophomore put the nation on notice in an exhibition victory over Jackson (Atlanta) when he erupted for 56 points, 26 rebounds and six assists.
