Baseball Recap: Caprock Takes a Loss

Caprock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 17-2 to the Lubbock Westerners. The Longhorns were not able to make up for their defeat to the Westerners from their previous meeting back in March of 2019.

Caprock saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dezmen Molina, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Molina has posted since back in April of 2024.

Caprock's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Lubbock, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 10-5-1.

Looking ahead, Caprock will square off against Tascosa at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Caprock has given up an average of 11.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Lubbock, they will face off against Caprock at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
