Softball Recap: Lake Braddock Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Lake Braddock entered their tilt with Alexandria City on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Titans 10-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bruins also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Mac Verdejo was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.

In other batting news, Addison Forde was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Mae Brewin also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Lake Braddock was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Lake Braddock's record is now 5-2. As for Alexandria City, their defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5.
