Friday just wasn't the day for Nordhoff's offense. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 10-0 walloping at the hands of the Newbury Park Panthers on Friday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, Nordhoff's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

For Newbury Park's part, they got a great performance from Veronica Wasserman as she didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Wasserman has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, Janessa Gutierrez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Yasmin Topinko, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.
