Baseball Recap: Water Valley Takes a Loss

Water Valley and New Site squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Water Valley had to settle for second. They fell 5-0 to the Royals. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Blue Devils haven't been shut out since back in March.

This is the second loss in a row for Water Valley and nudges their season record down to 17-10. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for New Site, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-7.

As of now, neither Water Valley nor the Royals have any future games scheduled.
