Volleyball Recap: Saugus Comes Up Short

Saugus had taken Salem down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Sachems fell 3-1 to the Witches. The Sachems were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Witches apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Saugus started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-9, 25-19, 25-14.

Saugus now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Salem, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Saugus will square off against Stoneham at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Salem, they will be playing at home against Danvers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Witches are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
