Softball Game Preview: Proctor Phantoms vs. White River Valley Wildcats

Proctor has gone a perfect 3-0 against White River Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Phantoms are taking a road trip to take on the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. Proctor will be strutting in after a win while White River Valley will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Friday, Proctor was able to grind out a solid victory over Springfield, taking the game 7-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Phantoms.

Meanwhile, White River Valley came up short against West Rutland on Friday, falling 21-3. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Golden Horde: they've now lost five in a row.

White River Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. Proctor has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record.

Proctor took their win against White River Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 18-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Phantoms since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
