Basketball Recap: North Branch Comes Up Short

North Branch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a blow against the Princeton Tigers, falling 82-49. The Vikings lost against the Tigers in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 73-64 score last time.

North Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Princeton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-7.

North Branch will head out to square off against Monticello at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Monticello knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully North Branch likes a good challenge. As for Princeton, they will challenge Milaca at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
