Volleyball Recap: Blountstown Comes Up Short

Blountstown suffered their biggest loss since October 8, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Bay Tornadoes. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Tigers haven't been shut out since back in August.

While Blountstown was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by exactly three points. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-22, 25-22.

Defeat or not, Blountstown got some senior leadership from Eden Mallory and Khloe Schamens. Mallory had 13 digs and two aces, while Schamens had eight digs and two aces. Mallory is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Blountstown's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Bay, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Blountstown and Bay are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Tigers will face off against Munroe at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bay, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Pensacola at 6:00 p.m.
