Volleyball Recap: Norton Takes Down Ranked Thomas More Prep-Marian

Norton faced Thomas More Prep-Marian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Bluejays sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Monarchs. The Bluejays haven't had any issues with the Monarchs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Norton got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 17-25, 25-17.

Norton found their leader in sophomore Halle Pfannenstiel, who had 23 digs and two aces. Pfannenstiel is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

Norton's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Thomas More Prep-Marian, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
