Basketball Game Preview: United Christian Academy Eagles vs. Mayer Lutheran Crusaders

The United Christian Academy Eagles will face off against the Mayer Lutheran Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as United Christian Academy comes in on three and Mayer Lutheran on eight.

Last Friday, United Christian Academy got the win against Heritage Christian Academy by a conclusive 58-32. United Christian Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Mayer Lutheran strolled past Minneota with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 61-46. Given the Crusaders' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Vikings are ranked 132nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mayer Lutheran's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. As for United Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Everything came up roses for United Christian Academy against Mayer Lutheran in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, as the team secured a 66-38 victory.
