Recap: Cranston East Thunderbolts vs. Prout Crusaders
The Cranston East Thunderbolts were the 63-51 winner over the Prout Crusaders when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Cranston East fell to Prout 47-43.
When it comes to explaining why Cranston East lost on Wednesday, one person who can't be blamed is Mya Jiminez. Despite the final result, she scored 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Gutierrez, who scored seven points.
Cranston East's defeat was their third straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1. As for Prout, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Cranston East will be home for the holidays to greet Shea at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Prout, they will head out on the road to face off against Mt. Pleasant at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
